Ollie is 3.
Dang. Time flies.
He is so smart. He surprises me everyday with what he knows and what he remembers. He still asks about Disney World and wants to go back (Keep in mind that was in June! 4 months ago!!) The other day he looked at a picture of us in Disney World and said "That's Roro. That's Boompa. That's Great Nana." and I was like " WHO did you just say??" and he said "Great Nana!" He loves spaghetti and meatballs. He absolutely loves being read to. He is a big help with Emory, getting me her binky or a diaper when we need them. He loves cartoons - Mickey Mouse Club House, Team Umi Zoomi, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, Jungle Junction. He loves firetrucks, blocks and balls. He loves helping me cook. He loves painting, especially if Doug is painting too. He loves the iPad and his new present, the Leapster Pad.
For Halloween, he was going to be Peter Pan. Emory was going to be Tinkerbell. How stinking awesome is that, right??? Well, about a week or so before Halloween, we were in Old Navy.. and Ollie fell in love with a costume.. a hamburger. He loved that costume, so we bought it (it helps that it was 50% off!) He was a hamburger, Emory was Tinkerbell.. not quite as matchy as I was thinking, but oh well. However, Doug was a hotdog.
Emory is now crawling, pulling up and cruising... pretty much all in one week. She gets so frustrated when she can't stand up in the middle of the floor and walk. I have no doubts she'll be walking by her first birthday. She has so much personality, so much of MY personality! - that teen years are not going to be fun around here! She's pretty much eating straight table food, anything we eat. Tonie decided to buy a giant pumpkin to take Emy's picture in.. so we did! We went to a pumpkin patch and she got a huuuge pumpkin that weighed as much as Ollie!
Ollie couldn't be out done and wanted to sit in the pumpkin as well.

I suck at updating. I need to get in a better routine with it.
New things!
E loves applesauce and doesn't care for sweet potatoes.
I love my Kindle, almond butter and America's Got Talent.
O hates the potty.
Yep. That's pretty much my life! We debated putting O in preschool a couple mornings a week, but I don't think he's ready. He has way too much separation anxiety and isn't interested in potty training. Maybe next year, I'm debating on starting a (school) program and it'd be helpful if he was in school a couple mornings a week. We'll see how he's doing.
I'm attempting to sell the kids old stuff and doing a decent job so far! I got $100 at a local consignment sale, yay! I think we're having a yard sale (ugh, so much work and heat :( ) this fall.
Speaking of fall, I love fall. We're already almost booked the whole season already. Labor Day weekend, D & I both work. D works the 10th as well. The first weekend in October is the Neptune Festival . The next weekend is Lord's Acre Day - a yard sale/auction thing that is tradition in DH's family. I love it! We're going to try to take DS somewhere for his birthday instead of a party. I'm sure the rest of the weekends will fill up :D
Tomorrow, I shall institute Wordless Wednesdays... if I remember. It might be Wordless September the way I'm going.

I'm back! Again....
..for some reason, I can't figure out how to post on the iPad. Must make techno-DH figure that out.
Anyway. Vacation is in 2 days. Alright - a time away, a break, right?? Not so sure. The cast of characters : My mom & dad, my maternal grandmother, my godmother, my sister, my nephew, DH, myself, Kiddo and Missy. Yep. All of us. 2 weeks (actually 17 days, but who is counting, right?) Tempers will flare, the kids will be cranky, etc. I am worried about this, I'll admit it. I don't think any of my family (well, maybe the kids, not sure) have enough clothes to last that long. Which means laundry, mid trip. Boo. That's not taking a vacation! Plus, I'm torn - do I use our cloth diapers, knowing I'll have to wash them (several - like every other day) times during the trip?? Or do I take a vacation from them and use sposies (blech.)?? Oh, and let's not forget waiting in the train station (yes, my family travels by train, not plane :P And we've done the whole driving to FL thing, not a fan!) Anyway, we normally get to the train station around 10-11.. and can't board til 2-3.
In other news, both kids are doing well. Kiddo was potty trained for about a week, then who knows wha happened, and he's back in diapers full time, not wanting to use the potty at all. Missy is discovering her feet and is the best baby ever. She already STTN's (that's sleep through the night for all you non-BBC people), hardly cries or fusses and is just overly happy and wonderful :)
Now, I must get back to cleaning and packing for vacation, instead of procrastinating more :P Aaaand, I think I might have just ruined dinner.. oops.
Anyway, I'm sure we'll have some kind of time.. hopefully good.

Miss Emory finally arrived :) She took her time - 11 days late! But arrived on 2/6/11 at 1237. We ended up having a c-section after about 12 hours of labor for "failure to progress". I'm not so sure I agree, but she's here and she's healthy and that's all that matters. Doug was home with us for the first week and half, and my sister was here Wednesday and Julie Thursday.. which leads us to Friday.. today, my birthday, none the less. The 3 of us are having our first "regular" day. I think we're doing well - I've got the diapers and towels put away, dishes were done (because, of course you never have all the dishes done for a long period of time.. more always pop up!), both bebes are currently napping and I'm blogging. Go me! At my "incision check" this week, my doctor told me that I should have 5 babies because I made having a c/s look easy. I wonder what he'd think if he saw how we've done today. I'm not trying to brag, but I feel darn good about it so far!! (Of course, talk to me around 4, which is when I normally get stressed out).

Illness struck our house. It was inevitable. Thankfully, a week later and we seem to be pretty healthy. Olliver and I still have coughs, but that's it. Baby girl is still nestled in my uterus, with no signs of coming out any time soon. I'm debating on having Doug hold some chocolate at my vagina to entice her out with. If she's like her momma, she'll come out for chocolate :P
Thankfully, I decided to be productive instead of pouty. Pouty that the snow missed us, pouty that DD isn't here yet and pouty that I don't have an endless supply of whatever food I currently want. Today, Ollie and I went to Target to check their toy clearance (still 30-50% off. I'm holding out for 75%!) and grocery shopping. I decided I wanted to make tortellini salad, banana bread and chicken nuggets... not together, mind you. I actually got the salad made for lunch (well, Ollie's was just tortellinis), the banana bread is made and the chicken is cut up so Doug can help once he gets home (he offered and I'll always accept help!). Dishes have been done twice already and I'm about to go put diapers in the wash. I'm hoping that this is nesting and maybe Baby will come on out soon!

Well, that sucks.
I had typed up a nice, long End of 2010 Survey....and closed the tab on accident. *headdesk* I might try again tomorrow, amidst the new stove being delivered. Here was the answer to the last question :P
I'm through accepting limits
''cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!
I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down:
